STEP IT UP -Fitness Challenge

WHO: MWR Fitness and Base Eligible Patrons

WHAT: A Step Challenge focused on encouraging physical activity by tracking daily steps on smart phones, smart watches or fitness trackers; logging daily steps weekly on MWR Fitness Center Log Sheet; and aiming for the most steps in a month.

WHEN: Mon, 16 March 26 – Tues, 14 April 26

WHERE: Workplace, home, track, park, etc. 

WHY: To encourage participants to increase their daily steps, with the overall goal of improving their physical well-being.

HOW: (Step Challenge Details)

  1. Duration: The step challenge will last for one month.
  2. Participation: Participants will participate individually.
  3. Step Goal: Achieve the most steps in a month.
  4. Tracking: Participants can use their smartphones, smart watches or fitness trackers to track their steps.
  5. Rewards: $25 Gift Card for winner. One Male and One Female Winner. Fitness Goodie Bag for runner up.
  6. Communication: Weekly updates by participants and weekly leaderboard updates by MWR Fitness are provided to keep participants motivated.

 

Ready to Participate? Follow these steps-no pun intended!

1. Sign-up: Participants will register for the step challenge at the MWR Fitness Center or REGISTER HERE.

2. Tracking: Participants will track their steps daily using their smart phones, smart watches or fitness trackers.

3. Monitoring: Participants can see their individual progress on their smart phones, smart watches, or fitness trackers.

4. Celebration: At the end of the step challenge, MWR Fitness Center will celebrate the achievements of all particpants.
